Special Trash Pickups
While most household waste is safe for our weekly pickups, not everything belongs in your regular trash cart. Items such as electronics (e-waste), paint, chemicals, batteries, and lightbulbs require special handling and should not be placed in your household bin. High Peak Waste offers scheduled special waste pickups to help you safely and responsibly dispose of these materials. Contact us to arrange collection and confirm any applicable fees.
Recycling Services
High Peak Waste makes it easy to recycle right at the curb. We provide bi-weekly residential recycling pickup for Adams County households, helping keep our communities clean and sustainable.
What Goes in Your Recycling Bin:
Paper & Cardboard: newspaper, junk mail, magazines, brochures, phone books, file folders, poster board, ream wrappers, frozen food boxes, cardboard boxes, and milk cartons.
Plastics: containers labeled with recycling symbols #1–#7, including milk jugs (no cartons), soda and water bottles, shampoo and detergent bottles, and household plastic containers.
Aluminum & Metal: aluminum beverage cans, tin and steel food cans, and small scrap metal.
Glass: clear and colored bottles and jars for beverages and food.
What Not to Recycle:
Do not place plastic bags, styrofoam, greasy pizza boxes, electronics, lightbulbs, batteries, paint, or hazardous chemicals in your recycling cart. These items require special handling and can cause contamination or safety issues.
Bulky Items
Need to get rid of something too big for your cart? High Peak Waste offers bulky item pickup in Adams County for things like mattresses, appliances, and furniture. Simply contact our team to schedule a collection and confirm any applicable fees. We’ll make sure your large items are removed safely and responsibly.
Overflow Trash Service
If you have more bags than fit in your cart, we’ve got you covered. High Peak Waste allows a few extra bags at no charge, and after the second bag, each additional bag is just $2.
Carryout Trash Service
Need a hand getting your cart to the curb? Our carry-out service means we’ll do the heavy lifting for you. This service is available to all customers, and it’s free for veterans and senior citizen residents with a valid ID.
